January 2026 - A Word From The President
Over the past month, a lot of our focus and planning has gone into preparing for the Moreton Bay Swim, and it’s been great to see so many members getting behind our event. The energy around this has been fantastic, and I’m really excited about what we’re creating together. Morbakka Awareness: Staying Safe in Our Bay
As a club rooted in open water swimming at Suttons Beach, we're no strangers to sharing the bay with marine life. Recently, member Keira Mary encountered a Morbakka jellyfish, also called the "fire jelly" or Moreton Bay stinger, a small box jellyfish native to our area.
