On November 27, a dedicated crew of SSG members rose before dawn to showcase our club on Channel 7's Sunrise, proving once again why starting the day with a swim is the ultimate Queensland vibe.
Braving rain and darkness, over 30 Ninjas gathered opposite the Sebel in club shirts, caps, and tri-suits from 4:30am. Sam Mac joined us for live crosses, ringing Brian's cowbell to send us charging into the water at 5:10am. The segment captured everything we love: cheeky banter (shark banz, "nice legs," and sausage jokes), inclusive spirit, and pure joy in the ocean.
Jodie nailed the interview, explaining our swim group roots and welcoming beginners: "Just stand up if you get worried; it's shallow and safe." Paul closed up the interview perfectly by explaining that our club is like a family of support and fun. Sam Mac called us "awesome" and "really fun," while the crew highlighted our supportive culture and the upcoming Moreton Bay Swim on February 1.

From umbrellas at dawn to sunrise splashes, we showed Australia how SSG starts the day right: fun, supportive, and always ready for a dip. Huge thanks to everyone who turned up in the rain; you made us proud!
